About the Contest
Jam! Don't Slam! is a songwriting contest for high school teens. If you are a student in grades 9 to 12 in the northeast Ohio area, then you are eligible. You are encouraged to write a song promoting safety belt use and responsibile driving among your peers.

Perform on the same stage as the stars!
Finalists will have a chance to shine when they perform on stage at the House of Blues. This is your chance to perform on the same stage as some of the biggest names in showbiz. The performance will take place on Thursday, May 17, 2007, around noon.

Prizes awarded to top contestants
Contestants will be judged following all performances and winners will receive:

• Grand Prize: A professional recording session at Lava Room Recording and a $50 gift certificate to Kohl’s.
• Second Place: $200 Prospect Music gift certificate and a $25 gift certificate to Kohl’s.
• Third Place: Two House of Blues concert tickets of your choice (subject to availability) and a $10 gift certificate to Kohl’s.
